Dynamics of a Trusted Platform

As PCs become more and more the generators, users and storers of key corporate data, they become easy targets for attacks from within and without. In a forthcoming book from Intel Press, Dynamics of a Trusted Platform, author David Grawrock delves into these security issues, introducing the concept of Trusted Computing and the building-block approach to designing security into vulnerable PCs. This lead architect for Intel’s security initiative and author of Intel Safer Computing Initiative gives designers and developers tips to evaluate Trusted Computing and protect PCs against threats. The attached excerpt is a preliminary chapter from the book scheduled to be published in February 2009.
