Implementing Intel® vPro™ Technology to Drive Down Client Management Costs

Intel IT is deploying Intel® vPro™ technology to maintain, manage and protect client systems more effectively. One important issue was integrating the solution with existing security infrastructure and policies to ensure secure client management across the enterprise. After performing qualitative risk assessments, potential threats were identified and prioritized leading Intel IT to design a certificate-based authentication solution to control access to the client management console. This paper describes the methodology used in planning, developing and deploying Intel vPro technology and quantifies the cost savings for this deployment.
