John, good to see a video presentation of your views- it helps build trust and with our own skunk works projects.
My only concern was that I hope CIOs aren’t limiting their adoption to technologies developed on the consumer web- many of us have been testing the consumer web since the commercialization, but business models for consumers often prevent more tailored products for the enterprise!
So about a decade ago I switched to developing specifically for the enterprise.
Appreciate and share your views on Drucker- I too was a big fan- he shaped many of my views earlier as a management consultant, and still influences my IT architecture. On a personal note- he died on my birthday, which was a powerful coincidence.
Thanks for the presentation, and for making this service available- am a spongue for articles, but nice to have the video. – MM
Sorry, that would be “sponge”- a premature post. I’ve recently shared a white paper with several senior management folks at Intel that might be of interest: “Unleash the innovation within”
The paper summarizes what we’ve learned in our small knowledge systems lab over almost 15 years now, specifically deals with semantic capabilities for the enterprise, and overcoming many obstacles we faced in applied R&D. Quite popular so far with CIOs in large organizations.
Cheers, MM
